Socket converters
Please, look at related terms to socket converters too.
Notes:
If programming yields isn't 100% when using socket converter, we recommend to bypass converter pins, respond to ground and supply pin of programmed device, by capacitor about 22nF value. Its enough to sold the capacitor between pins going to programmer's socket.
Part identification:
XXXX/YYYY ZZZZ AAAA
- XXXX- type of socket and number of pins on programmer side
- YYYY- type of socket and number of pins on device side
- ZZZZ
- ZIF - Zero Insertion Force socket
- ZIF-CS - ClamShell ZIF socket
- AAAA- additional identification (size, purpose)
Example: DIL48/PLCC64 ZIF MCS51-1
Note: the BGA convertors use different marking style. See please at BGA introduction for details.
